Your not that far from California. Take some of the money you make selling her truck and use it for a flight to California. You will be able to get a fantastic car out there.

No, she doesn't really love E30s.

          It's a tarp.

Like Robert said, that's how I got mine, hoping to find one locally though as it is definitely easier.

We would get a 300ZX for her but as amazing and beautiful as those cars are, to find one in the right condition for a price we could afford would be near impossible.

Etas are underrated and it's not too hard to rev them up so to speak.

you must really hate her to get her a 300zx???

btw, you need to align your hood gaps

                  Or love myself ;)

Yeah I've been wondering about those hood gaps, always looked weird to me but being my first bimmer I guessed it was normal. I'll look into this thank you!

We were thinking Prelude for a while, but decided if we were going 21mpg may as well love it twice as much and get a 300ZX. Too many things to go wrong though, if we were out of school we would probably do it, or an old 911 hehehe

since you sound like you are young ish i will give you some sage old man advice.

when i comes to major purchases like a car, you need to think in terms of I and HER not WE. that is unless you are married.

it is cool to work on it for her and all, but unless you are married, it is up to her to provide a car for herself.

BTW upkeep on an old cis 911 is not bad, but when things with the FI go bad, look out!

only fun the first few times when she gives you special loving then after that she just expects and bitches because you're taking too long

Eh we're pretty much married, been together for 4 years, no signs pointing to closure, who knows though. I'm not putting my money into it, but I'm definitely not going to pick up any old car for her.

@camip, at that point you pop open a beer and tell her to fix it herself, then make things right with the same mouth she fucked things up with.

an ETA e30 for your girlfriend???? why does she even want an old crapbox E30? spend the money on something safe and nice for her, damn!
if you do really buy her an e30, buy a latemodel so you can steal her valance to replace your mangled one- cause she is going to kill it on a parking block anyway.

Safe? My super etta SAVED MY LIFE!!! Some drunk clipped the front of my car causing my to loose control and went almost head on into a cement barrier off an exit ramp. The whole front passenger side was completely mangled! I walked away with a bloody elbow, (my window was open and my elbow hit the ground as the car was sliding down the exit ramp ON ITS SIDE) which was ultimately saved by my leather jacket and thats it! Thanks BMW...
