This thread is the very definition of "rice." What happened to the theory and practice of mechanical function taking precedence over form or aesthetics. And we're talking about shit under the hood! There's fewer than a handful of cars on this entire board that even have the potential to be a show car that would necessitate the modifications being proposed.
Her: "It's freezing in here. Can you turn the heat on?"
You: "Sorry, heater-core delete mod... the engine bay looks better without those two ugly hoses."
I don't like the false panels to cover all of the depressions and holes on the floor of the wheel well, the strut towers, etc. I really need to get some better pics of my engine bay, but I like to still see the brake lines, the fuse box, casting/stamping marks, etc. But I think that's because I like more of a stripped/motorsport style look than the shaved/show look.
This ^^^^^
I want to see yours.
5spoke and nando, lmao. Shit is real in teh streetz!!! :drink:
lostbeachbum, lovin it.
Speaking of which... Anyone got the april issue of GRM they can scan the Condor article out of? I missed it on the stands and didn't own an E30 at the time.
well it looks saggy but all the pins are in so I don't know...guess I'll try and adjust it.
What's it good for? Engine noise, protect the hood from engine heat?
I just ripped mine out. No problems from not having one.
ya, you would not want to start ruining your new manifold because of a silly problem. i get that.
try adjusting the hood and see what happens?

mine rubs too, probably just sagging? or you may need to adjust it. how are the hood lines?
It looks even by sight but I don't know how it should look when perfect, I guess.
I want to get it figured out though before putting on a powder coated black manifold that's been sitting in my storage unit for a few years.
What do you guys do with the hood padding? For some reason mine rubs against my intake manifold and sands it over time :| Do you guys just remove them or does my hood need adjusting?
