The other day I was at Pick and Pull and I came across an old BMW Bavaria. I noticed that the hood and trunk roundels were made of aluminum rather than the chrome plated plastic that the cheap ones on my car are so I grabed them. The black, blue, and white were all almost gone, but I thought that it would be fun to try and restore these. At this point I have cleaned off the remaining color and after a good cleaning the roundel will be ready for color. Does anyone know what product I should use to fill in the colors?

As for UV? Dunno about that. I've used it for touching up paint and it's still matching 10 years later.
FWIW.

I've used nail polish for touching up paint and it look good for about a month until it oxidized to shit. Guess it was cheap nail polish (don't remember). The first car I ever rode in was an e30
