    Near stock '90 325is in 8/10 condition, 180,xxx kms: $3400

$60 rear shock mounts and reinforcement.

$115 brakes, cts and valve cover gasket

$50 for thermostat and housing from junkyard after I cracked mine.

$280 ignition refresh ( cap, rotor, wires, plugs) plus some vacuum hose and intake boot

$75 for intake gaskets, more vacuum hoses (icv) and TPS. Pretty much all preventative maintenance.

$280 for PLX wideband and oil temp.

$200 for euro grills and Smileys.

= $1060 give or take $100 in mostly preventative maintenance. shock mounts and thermostat were the only really necessary parts.

Still planning on doing a 5 speed swap once I'm ready.

With the power it puts down, it twist the shaft, snaps center bearings so, axles brake witch I will be upgrading next but they are a pretty penny.

Jeez I have to tell you this thread is scaring the shit out of me.. I just bought my first E30 a few months ago and am in LOVE with this car! Maybe I'll start selling kidneys.

Anyway, so far my totals are low:

'92 325i Convertible black on black with optional hardtop - $4700
Oil pan gasket and ps hose replacement - $700
New muffler, pipes and tips - $400
    Rolling hardtop stand - $50

    Total - $5850

I love this car and want it to be the last one I own. Seriously.

Questions for the vets. Roughly on an 1984 325e with a broken AC. Worst case scenario, how much am I looking at to fix it? I saw a number of $2500 to rebuild it, oh yeah???
