So I guess rbr is back to the old engine mapping, wonder how many other mods they had in place to take advantage of the questionable engine map?

^That's why I watch the BBC/SkySports broadcasts.........guys that have actually raced in F1. The SPEED guys are too busy failing at being funny.

Hammi retired likely so they could throw in a fresh gearbox.

Yeah, it was way over the top... Vettel had already gained the position on Button, Button's rears were shot, couldn't get the power down and pushed out of the turn, so much that 2 of his wheels were beyond the white line. Vettel avoids a last lap contact by staying wide and gets hammered by the stewards. Maybe he should have pulled a Maldonado and just torpedoed Button instead... I think the stewards were miffed that they didn't get a decision on RBR in the pre-race meeting and decided to penalize them this way... Where's the consistency? I seem to remember Rosberg pushing drivers wide during passes earlier in the season and they never got penalized for completing the pass and avoiding the contact. Avoid the contact or crash them both out... hmmm... seems the stewards want the drivers to crash each other out instead of avoiding the contact. The position was Vettel's... Button drove his tires off the cliff and then whines when he pushes Vettel off track and Vettel makes the pass and bumps him back a spot. He could no longer defend and Vettel was obviously faster at the end, having looked after his tires better. I don't dislike Button, I just think it was inevitable that he was going to get passed...

    /rant

In other news, I didn't see anything on Hammi's retirement... I thought for sure he'd be screaming about it post-race...

And... did anyone catch the pre-race analysis of the RBR engine mapping investigation? David Hobbs was referring to it as a "part" that could be removed from the car, lol! I was laughing at all 3 of them fumbling to express what it was the FIA were investigating and getting it all completely wrong... even Matchett was pretty clueless on exactly what they were investigating and why they were investigating it... too funny...

well done by Jenson and the Saubers. Kimi's drive was not half bad, either.

    Nando is looking strong.
