    Pulstar spark plugs?

Has anyone on here used them? They're super steep at about $15 each but they promise great results. Apparently they're irridium with an internal capacitor.

Buy Pulstar Performance Spark plugs. Pulstar Spark Plugs with plasma ignition offer more horsepower, more torque and quicker throttle response. Made in USA

Have you ever used them or is this an assumption?

I can promise I'll sell you a winning lottery ticket.
        Doesn't mean it's true.

The simple fact of the matter is a capacitor takes time to charge (RC Time constant). The amount of time is not enough to gain any significant charge from the coil (Which is its power source), which is not increased upon anyways, because it cannot be.

There's no more voltage. There's no more current. The time frame is barely, if at all different to when the spark happens. It's snake oil. Don't need to use them to know.

I remember some plugs like this a few years back, they were proven to be a sales gimmick.

Just grab some NGK copper spark plugs. they work great and are like 1.40 each... Invest the rest in something use full. The only thing I could see making a difference is a COP design.

Gimmick. If the spark plug's electrode really made an impact on the combustion within the cylinder, the electrode would be to the side of, and not over the electrode for years now.

I did some looking, I think these may be the same as what I was speaking of, they come in a laser cut foam package IIRC.

So is the concensus here that they are worse than a regular irridium plug or roughly the same?

worse ^ I've taken them out of two of my customer's and one of my friend's cars. They were causing horrible misfires

ummmm, the NGK plugs for the M50 are sidefire plugs. dual electrode, to the side of the center electrode.

^that would be due to the delay in timing from the "electrode" charging.

Huh, learn something new every day.
Never worked with an M50, so I've never seen those (Even in my 6 years as a parts seller/"Commercial parts pro").

Neat! I mean, it makes sense. but neat!
