    sigh, joining the m42 ranks.

eeek, put the deposit down today, looking to pick it up this weekend. this time i wanted a clean, original, late model with records, not really caring what motor it had. and this is what i found.

    '91 318is, 140k, alpine
2 owners, dealer maintained till 120k
    all records
    all hoses replaced
    new radiator
    new steering rack
    all original numbers matching panels
    new dash
    grey cloth interior
    bosch euro ellipsoids
    euro moldings
    IE3 springs
    bilstein sports
    new suspension and brake components.

picked it up for $3100. it's clean, that's all i care about.

on another note, as soon as parting is done on the 325, i'm calling ecology to pick up the sucker. if anyone IN SO CAL wants the shell (still has interior, m20b25, tranny, and some other stuff), notify me before next week.

You know you love the M42. Don't deny it.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

I am beginning to come to the conclusion myself that a nice clean
low mileage 1991 318is may be the way to go. Love that no-timing-belt
                              to-deal-with feeling.

The 325is was last made in 1990 and it is hard to find one that is not beat to hell. There are 1991 325i models around but then you have to contribute
your own sport seats, spoiler, and LSD (if I am not mistaken).

Good luck and oh I am also looking for some IE stage 3's and Bilsteins -
even been trying to buy ColdAccord's--- except I just needt the front
                              sports...
