    storing convertibles outside

So I've had my cabrio for a little over a year now and I've babied it. Garage kept, the top is original and is in great shape, its treated and only leaks a little under really heavy rains.

I am planning to move into an apartment and there is no garage storage. Do any of you vert owners out there keep yours outside? If you do, what actions to you take to keep the top safe?

    thanks

I have a waterproof car cover. It works really well but I assume I will need to replace it every 2 years or so.

I've stored my very in my moms garage this winter, probably will get a car cover for summer because I live in an apartment too. However I'm afraid someone will steal the cover (I live in the worst neighborhood in America literally). I don't really want to be fiddling with locks and such though.
I want a nice set of smoked MHW's (I know, get it line)
