Metal to plastic can often show up different shades of the same color. Silver especially. I worked in a body shop for a year and this was a big issue, even factory it can look slightly off.Leave a comment:

Nope - That's not my car - one I found in 30 seconds in the member's rides section to prove my point - I guess you've never noticed it. Keep an eye out for it - you'll notice it on most cars if the lighting is right - so you won't always see it. And I've only noticed it on two doors.

Do I really have to find more pics?Last edited by george graves; 01-18-2012, 06:43 AM.Leave a comment:

George, someone has probably replaced one or two of those pieces on your car before you owned it and they're different ages. I'd paint them all with SEM trim black or replace them all with new pieces.
By the way, I'm happy that Nelly posted here. This thread has me stompin' in ma err force ones.Leave a comment:

comprende. I'm just saying, it can be easily fixed/prevented. if they're already oxidized, try polishing them with 3M rubbing compound (your rag will turn black), and then using cleaner wax on them religiously.
wouldn't you like to know :pLeave a comment:

Sure - Mine and 99% of all e30 - so what ever - well the center oxidizes at a different rate then the end ones then - or something is up. But my point is they are different.
What else do you wax...big boy?Leave a comment:
