Here is the sound clip, this intakes fits,sounds and performs AMAZING! But it will cost more than the original $100 shipped, probably more like $110 shipped because it takes more silicone than anticipated.

tomorrow is test fit day on a friends E30.

yes, that is what I'm running, I can do 3",3.25" ,3.5",3.75", 4", all the way to 5".

I don't have any pictures because I'm using ugly colored couplers but its the same as my 3d rendering. it goes 90 off of the turbo, MAF,90 down to A/C hole, the slight bend to air filter.

Can you do the turbo setup for a 4" turbo inlet?

I did a filter vs no filter and gained around 30tq. I think 5'' long in 4''.
Find one with the inverted cone if you can.

that K&N is the x-stream kind where the lid of the filter is also a filter

It would be cool to see a side-by-side comparo and some flow numbers for your new kit vs. your cf kit.

I can use just about any style filter, I just design the plumbing and use what air filter is suitable I've decided a larger filter is needed for a turbo car, from my calculations the canister style flows around 700cfm which isnt bad but the K&N X-stream that I'm using in my turbo E30 flows over 1000cfm I believe.

so I designed a good turbo CAI system, it fits with no cutting to the car as long as you car does NOT have A/C. you just have to reposition the horn and either run a fog blank or no fog at all.

I've order about 3 different air filters today so I'll have updates soon. I've bought some spectres,velocity stacks,K&N X-stream and other random goodies. If the velocity stack doenst fit I will likely go with a K&N x-stream filter for the turbo intake kit. the price will obviousally go up like $70 but that's the price to pay for a quality intake kit.

I need to figure out a intake setup for my turbo car so you have my interest in this if you can make one with a 4" outlet.
