    Kansas City, Missouri anyone?

Whats the weather like up there? I might be going to school there this coming fall. Does it snow often? Is this area considered the rustbelt?

why the fuck would you want to move to Kansas? jk.

It snows like 4 or 5 times a year maybe. And i dont think its in the rust belt. In wichita we atleast used sand, not salt on the roads.

    Ofcourse, ask Stewart.

I live in St. Louis, and weve had crazy weather here this year. Literally last wednesday it was 85-90 thursday it was 50-60. I also dont think it is in the rust belt, although im on the other side of the state. Sorry if it doesnt help. I imagine KS shouldnt be much different but what do i know.

The weather changes from day to day. We could have a 6" snowstorm and then the next week have 70 degree days. Thye use salt when their is ice. We dont get much snow though, maybe 3 snows and the snow is usually gone within days because of the temp swings.

Now if you are actually living on the Misery side then the snow lasts longer because they cant afford to plow the snow or fix the roads. Kansas is usually better.

You're not kidding man, but I was up in Northern Illinois/Iowa this weekend and they've had the same weather there. We get some pretty mild winters here though, just lots of ice.

The saying here in KS is "if you don't like the weather, wait 15min. because it will change"

Mild in general over the winter, last winter though had one hell of an Ice Storm.

hah, thats a tx saying. I was a little confused at first b/c there are two KC's? One in Kansas and one in Missouri? Or I guess its just one big city expanded. I'll be on the Missouri side. I didn't really get a feel of the city while I was down there but felt out of place. I guess it didn't help that I was on the bad side of town. I got accepted to a program up there so I dont have a choice where to go. Good to know some of y'all live up there. I guess I should start looking for a hardtop.

I live in topeka...about an hour or so from KC, MO. Some winters we get a lot of snow others not. the weather changes a lot. the only thing I really don't like is it gets pretty friggin humid in the summer.

I don't think rust is a problem. at least not for me anyway. :D

fo shizzle. Hopefully you arent truly "downtown" unless you are moving into one of the new lofts. Otherwise its pretty much run down. Our city hasnt seen the "revitalization" yet.

Wait, I live in Lawrence. Its not our city anymore.
