CA Guys: Need answers on a Speeding Ticket

So yes, I managed to get my first CA speeding ticket a few weeks ago, actually, months, but the court date was set for a long period of time. I wont go into how i got the ticket, or anything like that, but all I will give is that the ticket says 65+ In a 55.

Now In kansas, a ticket of 10mph or less did not effect your insurance/points.

In california, does a 10mph over ticket put points on my license, or marr my driving record? My car, license, registration, everything is still in "Kansas" but I Do have california insurance. I also go to UTI, so a moving violation can and probably will effect my success in the future. I know going to traffic school is an option, but I honestly would much rather pay the fine and be done. I'm a busy kid.

Ill ask the department at school what they have to say, but meantime ill have the court date pushed back. The court location is a good hour and a half away, so going to court while In school is not an option. It will have to be in december when I take a 4 week break.

For my ticket anyway they sent me a notice with the fine which I had to pay to the court anyway. However to keep one point off my record I had to pay a small court "administration" fee to "let" me take traffic school. They sent me back a list of schools on and offline but since I live pretty far from where I got the ticket I did an online one which was like another 20 bucks I think. They only have to be completed within like a month or so, so progress through it can be as slow as you need with a workload.

So since you took an online traffic school, did you still have to performe a final exam at the court house? Or can you take it locally and they can send it to the courthouse responsible for your case.

Damnit, today is a holiday, courts are closed. stupid bastards! I need to call and have my court date changed, too. Ohwell, come arrest me fuckers!
