you'll regret if you'll buy this m10 318, becuase of the ungly bumps, weak and old engine, etc. just wait for 325i/is, the best one to get... it'll keep you happy all day long... ;)

I would definately go for the 325i
I had an old 84 318i, my first car. You can also pick up a 325is fairly cheap. I paid $700 for my 87 325is, a little rough, but not bad. Get a 325i and you will not want anything more. I always thought that my m10 was very underpowered. But, it also will never die. I would still go for the 325i anyday of the week. Just check the classifieds... you'll find a nice one out there01 325Ci

I sell cars for a living...
If you find one for $1500, just chew them down. Either they will come down to earth, or keep looking for one that will. When I bought mine, the previous owner wanted $1500 for it. I told him point blank I would not pay more than $500 for any car with 220k, that also was a little dinged up, had a little looseness in the suspension, etc. It cleaned up well, but I ended up at $700 cash, or keep it, I told him. In my mind I would have gone to 1k, but always shoot drasticly low, and take it from there. You will find one....it still shocks me what some people ask for old e30s in New England, but I know realisticlly that any person with half a brain will not pay that. A nice e30 can command a good price, but anyone in average condition is worth under $2000.
Just my 2 cents.........

Trust me, look around your area and you may find some. I've found some killer deals not even looking at times.
