    first BMW E30 experiences.

Hello R3V! My name is Kyle and i really wanted a 318is so i was on a craigslist hint for one. i found one that was in Fremont so i went to check it out.One of my friends who is an bmw enthusiast and who owned a 318is drove me out there to look at the car. we smoked a fat blunt on the way there and when we got there we say a beat to shit alpine 318is with 199,998 miles on it and it had cheap chrome rims and bald tires. the engine sounded like it was going to blow up. the sport seats had the "gangster lean" so the guy had switched the front seats. the guy had no idea that he had. We wanted to taked for a test drive but the man said let me drive it around the block to show you how i drive. we said okay and let him drive the car. the next thing i know is we were on the freeway going 100 i was about ready to shit my self when he says ''oh i dont have any gas'' he goes from the fast line all the way to the exit in one sketchy move. we are exiting the freeway when i see a fat pothole in the road. the man drove right into it and boom. I tried telling the man that he had a flat but he said he didnt soon enough he felt the car pull to the right and he admitted to the problem. me and my friend a scared shitless cus we just saw the 318is die in front of out own eyes. the guy tries to put on the spare i looked in the glove box and saw a jar of white powder and a crack pipe at that point i said FUCK that:eeek:. My friend and i ran away from the situation and walked 3 miles back to the crackheads house to get to my friends car. here is the creep if anyone knows what happened to this car let me know

after all that i got 1991 318i with 180,000 miles on it. the car seemed solid and the guy (he had 2 1991 318i) was nice so i purchased it.its my first car and i saved up on my own and got it without help from my parents(which i think is good for being a broke college student who works part-time)

Ehh 100's not that fast but that's a hell of a story especially with the crack part. I don't have much...dumbass with a 325is beat to SHIT spray painted flat black with stupid orange accents thought his car was worth 3k (something was wrong with the engine too, didn't pull strong at ALL). Saw the cleanest e30 i've ever seen after that. Literally 1 tiny ding on the 20 year old body (it was fucking amazing). Also had a weak engine but was a very nice car. Unfortunately it was outta my range at that time and he wouldn't come down.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

first e30, first time driving a stick on freeway, and trying to follow my dads truck.

last light before getting on the freeway- i put it into reverse on accident! so i quickly put it in first. ended up doing a burn out at the light haha not even 10 mins into owning it and i had broke loose my e30 :) my heart was pumpin

That's too easy to do when the shifters are worn right out. I think I once put my old 320i into reverse 3 times consecutively before finding first.

Waaay back when, my mom put my dad's 91 325i into reverse at a light. She never drove it again.

First time behind a wheel of an e30 was a 85 325e. I took it for a drive and thought, for a 2.7l it isnt much to brag about. But was a 5spd rwd and a smaller car. So i was happy somewhat.

My very first ride in a car was in an E30, from the hospital where I was born, back way home.
First time I was steering a car was my dads E30 when I was four years old, sitting on his lap, on an empty car park.
The first E30 I actually drove on my own, was the one I do own now.
We fixed the brakes and basic stuff, then I took my first drive around the block.

The first car I ever drove was my mom's sterling 318is. My dad taught me in that car on a dirt road behind the mall in north Idaho. I guess you could say I entered the auto world rally-crossing an e30. Not a bad way to start. I eventually got that car, and its still in the family 15 years later with 300k on the clock and running strong in Santa Barbara. Bone stock, original engine and trans. Its a slick top too.

My first drive in one was in 1991 when my then boss had an AWII 318i with tan interior. He took me fore a spin in it and said "check this thing out, it even has a flashlight!" Whoa, pretty cool!. He then said...and Ill never forget it..."If you work hard enough, you too can get one of these one day." I guess I did work enough, plus some, to buy 3......20 years later...
