Amazing car with a price to match it...I think :)

I'm in need of help of finding a value on this car that I'm about to buy and just want another opinion. Here's a breakdown of the car:

    1990 325i 4-Door 5-Spd

    THE GOOD:
Alpine White (straight, clean, and no reported damage on carfax)
Tan Interior (original window tint still on and saved the interior, no rips or cracks of discoloration ANYWHERE)
~130,000 miles on it's second engine (original engine seized up after the owners nephew bottomed out and shattered the oil pan and tryed to drive it home...Engine replaced with a 2.5 from a idetical 1990 325i)
2nd owner is a 71 year-old retired college proffessor from Korea who has owned the car for the past 11 years
    Power Windows
    Stock Stereo

THE BAD: (most of it I know how to fix)

Ruff Idle: (I think it can easily be fixed with a new AFM, correct me if I'm wrong)

Tachometer and MPG gauge non-functioning: (This is easy with this battery)

ABS doesn't work: (When the nephew seized up the engine the owner said he jumped the car wrong and the ABS hasn't worked since)

Rear driver-side door lock doesn't unlock with key in warm weather: (You can pull it up manually when this happens but it doesn't unlock or move when the rest of the central locking system is working.)

He was asking 2900 last weekend and said he'd take 2500, he just reposted and asked 2300 and I called him and got him down to 2100. 2100 is his final offer and he has other interest. His is awaiting my call to say I'll give him 2100 before he has other people see it today. Yay or Nay? I think this is a great deal, I just want to know what you think and why? Also any suggestions with the problems are welcome. :)

PLEASE HELP ME!!! I hate this time when it actually comes down to paying someone for a car when you find it...Thanks

Sounds like your normal 15+ year old car bs thats wrong with it. And sounds like a good price. If you are looking for someone to push you over the fence of buying it or not..... . go get it man. I'd be out taking a look at it if I were in the area..... Good luck!

I would talk him down to $2000 cash money.

The idle can be a number of problems. Mine was actually 4 different sensors. The O2 sensor ($34 if you buy the 5.0 Mustang O2 and mod it) - the Temp. Sensor ($15 @ BMAParts.com) - the AFM ($35 on Ebay) - TPS ($51 from BMAParts.com).

If the Idle is jumping around I would start with the TPS and it may not need to be replace and only adjusted. The easiest way to determine this is if you can here a small "click" when you open the throttle. (With the car turned off of course)

Otherwise if I had $2gs I would buy it.

I'd snag it for $2100 for sure.

Is this the one posted on craigslist? I'd definately jump on it. Clean E30's are hard as hell to find around the NW.
