    Subaru Wrx Sedan vs Hatchback

    Hey,

I am interested in buying the new 2012 Subaru Wrxs' and I can't decide on which one to get. I like both and I wouldn't mind either one. I want to see what you guys would pick.

Hatchback no doubt. I know a new model is in the works though, might want to look into timing on that one. (I don't really know at all...)

uh...pick the one you like best. The hatch has more utility in terms of carrying things (the sedan trunk is MUCH smaller than an e30 trunk, for instance). And the hatch is a few inches shorter. Otherwise, they're the same car, with the same weight balance. Up to you which one you like the looks of better..

I'm partial to the sedan, personally. I think the hatch looks like a 16-year old drives it, while the sedan at least looks kind of "adult." lol..... Unless you carry alot of stuff, in which case the hatch is a better choice. But then again, I may be a bit biased considering my daily driver

I like the hatch better, but sometimes the sedan gets to me. So its really tough.

Hatchback. It's a lot more practical and, at least to me, it looks much better. The sedan's proportion just look awkward. That holds true for most new cars, come to think of it....

I am going to college next year so It would be more practical to have the hatch.

I'm not sure why this isn't off topic... But- I prefer the hatch. I may pick one up myself soon.

I'm thinking you didn't really need to make this thread, and that you're just looking for "group approval." Be your own person, get what you like. You don't start a poll asking if you should wear a blue or a red shirt, or what kind of beer you should drink. The two WRXs drive the same and are the same car, aside from cargo capacity. You've already said you like the hatch better, and that it would be more practical, so there is really no possible argument you could have to buy the sedan at this point. So get the hatch, because you like it.

I got an 09 sedan because nobody notices it. Cops don't. Street racers don't. Nobody does. I like not being noticed when I'm driving....I liked the sedan better, so I got the sedan,, even though hatches are far more popular. Be your own person :)

and the front looks like a corolla with a scoop.

and it has more power than both combined

Be prepared for a monthly insurance premium that is more then the actual car payment itself.

I love my STi hatch. It's insane the stuff I have been able to fit in it over the years.

^ that's 7 18 inch tires in the back. The 8th was in the passenger seat. I could have probably gotten all of them in the back if I stacked them differently.

My current STi has been the most practical car I have owned (other than the crappy gas mileage). Because everyone needs 300hp in a daily driver.

                              I'm going to miss her...
