That's what I said - it's a drift car. I read the article about it and I can appreciate the work the guy did to get the arches how he wanted them, but it's ugly and it isn't a track car. It is a hard parking/drift-ish car.
I don't know that I even care if there is drifting in HK.
And if every model was the same cookie cutter forum dictated mods shit we would be bored to death. His flares are really sick, and if you look past the grungy appearance, it's a cool function oriented car.
What does where I live have to do with anything?
It doesn't look like a track car. With all the bits hanging on I'd be surprised if it made it through tech.
I know it's your car and all, but why would you spend that kind of money on a shifter for a street car?
Because I've ridiculously upgraded everything else and until my engine craps out, I most likely won't be engine swapping. My M50 and Getrag are just stupidly strong and healthy, and I'm only now coming into 165K. The CAE shifter fits the rest of my car, and the only other aftermarket shifter I would consider would be the Bear kit, which is only for the M3/ZF transmission. Stock one feels like shit and is very unprecise... it's really my only gripe with the car currently.

It makes total sense. Maybe for Stanceworkz d0rifto days it would be okay, but not at any other time.
Seriously? You live in fucking Hong Kong.
