We're pretty serious. A paint job easily costs more than what most of the world/insurance companies deem a good example of an E30 is worth.

Just tell the adjuster youre willing to work with him so the car isn't totaled. Might be a little money out of pocket but atleast you won't have a stamped title.

No, you are wrong, there is structure to the rear end of the car. You are looking at pull time in the least then work to the apron and bumper replacement + paint. There is probably trunk floor damage too ( that might come out with the pull). There may also be a buckle in the c pillar or the qtr.
