i cant find any information on it looked everywhere 318ti.org and bimmerfourms. I'm really interested in doing this, just would like to know some things necessary to do so.

318ti.org member J!m sold a manual for many years. It details EVERYTHING, I have one that I suppose I could sell. But you shouldn't have to. It is straight forward. Just use.... Google, and the forums...alexw

Well the guibo is the same as the 6 cylinder cars, so if the trans length is the same you could just swap in the entire drivetrain from the M car. Wiring would be pretty straight forward if both cars are OBD2.
