Truth. Saab did make some amazing motors, I just don't like that they put them in FWD.

The GM Saab's did change their bolt pattern to match the GM gearboxes though, which makes B234R a good engine to convert to RWD. Opel Omega gearbox bolts right up with a custom clutch.

this is not a saab 900 classic, which ends in 93. 94 for convertibles.

this is a saab 900gm, which although assembled by saab uses opel drivetrains.

There is no magic clutch disc changer thing.

I read that same article and it sounded cool. Nothing to do with this 98 clutch, which will be a very standard fwd clutch repair, extremely difficult.

this is the 900s model. 2.0 liter 133 hp. 5 sp.

almost base however there is also a 900i.

certainly wont beat my e30 in any kind of race. Hearing about the specifics and getting ready to try and put a deposit on it.
Yep, not a Classic 900 with its magic 2 hour clutch job.

Buy $200 E30, Saab B234R conversion using a Getrag 260 and bell housing adapter plate. Best of both worlds.

    I would piss on a non-turbo SAAB.
But not on a non-turbo Volvo.

I'd say fuck it and look for a turbo saab for the sexiness

you know a 98 daewoo llanos for 1000 that needs only a clutch wouldnt be too bad a deal...

nevermind a saab with perfect tan leather. much nicer than e30 leather, or honestly e36 leather.

I would, Id sell it for at least 4k as a dump it off price.

Maybe the 90s wasnt the heyday of euro sedans Im not positive. But theyre worth something.

Saab 900 is a very nice car. hard to even compare it to a 318 its better.
