thank you for the support everyone, I filed a police report, no officer ever showed up and theres fingerprints all over the car, kinda funny. But the city of rochester has better things to deal with apparently (crack problems). Ive also called many local shops and left contact info if anything was seen. I want this person to have to pay for the vandalism to the trunk, will be posting pics later.

Just out of curiosity, where were you parked when it happened? Not the specific location, but for example paralleled on the street outside your residence, in a garage, public lot, etc.

My car was parked outside The Little Speed Shop in Rochester, NY. It is just their lot for visitors but also has customer cars parked outside when the bay is full. Apparently someone saw the hood up on saturday when the shop was closed and didnt think to ask about it.

i remember walking into the locker room after practice one day to find a few guys popping lockers open, got broke one's nose and choked out the second, third guy booked it but someone else caught up to him.

good news, my mechanic spotted a red e30 with my henna valence on it, chased the kid down in his Cummings truck and took it back, also got the kids contact, will be meeting with police as well as thief tomorrow in the shop. any ideas on what I should be searching for reimbursement? My roof and trunk are going to have to have dent popped out as well as a respray of the entire car. Also the parts are all scratched up now and kinda destroyed. Im estimating the replacement at this

Detail for misc scratches during theft - 350

im going to see if i can work out a cash deal at 2K without pressing charges to repair my car and ill let it slip, If not, I will be pressing charges and looking for 4k on top for an entire henna respray as well as body work.

Seriously don't go small they didn't care about you or your property you shouldn't give a dam about them...take em for whatever you can. Period.

Imo if somebody who does a bad deed goes unpunished they'll probably tend to do it again.
