    Newbie Question

Hey guys and gals, I've been trying to pick up an e30 locally for a while now.. As we all know they're getting hard to find. I came across this ad on CL and wanted your opinion. Is this a good deal? Thanks for the help and sorry if this isn't the right place for this thread.

If it is actually rebuilt correctly, and they have receipts for the work done along with the motor checking out ( comp test, leak down test etc. ) Then id buy it. Id offer a bit lower if I were you though.

looks to be straight. make sure the odo works because if it doesnt then you know its got more miles. As long as they have receipts/records, go for it. But haggle

Haggling is the preferred method but nothing talks likes cash in hand, by that I mean a fist full of benjamins waving in the wind. This can bring the price into the ballpark. Be a Boyscout, be prepared.

its a sedan, less desirable. its a 318, less desirable-to some.
          airbag car, again another hiccup.

          very clean interior, outside too.

meh, try really hard not to pay over 3100.

A stupid question, but I think I read somewhere that for 1991 model year the 318i in the US gets the same engine (M42 ) as the 318is? Is that true?

Sounds a nice car low mileage, if rebuild is proper then that is great, looks really clean and well taken care of.

I personally am not a fan because of four doors but I would get it for my girl in a heartbeat.
