          doesn't cover any open vents...
if its good enough airflow for race cars, i think its just fine.

Get some stainless steel allen headed bolts and nuts to attach it. It will look better.

Interesting idea, but I have already opened up the grill backs on the drivers side grill to let more air into the air box.

Is it to protect the glass of the lights, or just for the looks?

It is for aerodynamics on the race cars-- think smooth brick vs. cheap brick with imperfections/rough surface (ie. the depth of the headlamp in the grill).

Why does the DTM car have a Gran Turismo banner on it? When they never put an e30 in any of the games?

There's absolutely nothing DTM about these covers or the car in the first post.

This. Never seen these on a single DTM E30.

What I see when people put these on their cars is every single person that notices them asking you "Why do you have plastic panels over your headlights?"

it seems like there is exposed projectors behind the plastic, those glass lenses on headlights are so damn heavy that you save some weight by replacing it with plastic.

derp derp GT is a touring car series just like DTM...
swap the brow and add dekra stickers and the car would be right at home. obviously used the word to describe a vintage german racing look.

surprised more people don't think it looks sick... i saw that first pic and instantly wanted to make a set.

jeremy - yep, i think i'll bring the M3 for her last meet.
