My turbo car gets compliments a lot. Shiny black, fancy wheels, and a baller hood.

I just get douche bags trying to race me. I'll let them go if it's a straight but if it's a twisty road, I'll show them who's boss.

I got a compliment from a homeless man at a gas station at 2:00 am on my ix. Oddly enough I've also gotten various compliments from girls about my age on it as well, and it's not in the greatest shape.

In my 318i I got a thumbs up from a guy in an e92 m3 and some guy in an old s4, but since it's stock ride height with hub caps, it's normally an old person favorite.

Sorry folks, but my e36 gets more compliments.

Interestingly, I got tons of compliments from randoms when my car as on gold Konig's, but being on silver BBS now I get nowhere near the attention. I actually had a 40+ year old woman block me in where I parked so she could ask me what year my car was and tell me how much she liked it. I still get the occasional thumbs up, but somehow I'm on sleeper status now.

                This is funny.

I saw this post yesterday while at work and I thought to myself " I haven't gotten compliments on my car in a while, not since the first few weeks of owning it. Damn" (I've only had it since the first week of Jan anyway lol)

But as I'm coming out of my work yesterday, there is a kid taking pictures of my car with his cell phone, talking to his mom about how old and cool it was. I'm not sure if I was happy about that or terrified he might be planning on stealing it lol

Then on my drive home, two guys in a Scion pull up and yell over "Hey man! Nice car" and gave me the thumbs up

I guess I was wrong lol.

A lot of middle aged guys will tell me they used to own 2002s, or e21s, and sometimes e30s, and they'll say mine looks great and makes them miss theirs.

A couple of people have randomly asked me if it was for sale. My car gets a lot of attention from a very small, weird group of people LOL

any time at a car meet, I will get the mandatory, "sick car", "used to have one" from the vw crowd.

Randomly on the street I will get people starting and giving me the thumbs up.

When I went to Oktoberfest I had a guy approach me as I was pulling out of the parking spot and ask me what year and model it was :D

Today at work, some dude came up to me while I was sitting at the curb behind my e30 trying to eat my lunch and engaged in a half-hour conversation about how he loves bmw's and mine is the bees knees.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

over here the only people that compliment on an e30 are men over 50. Little kids under 5, point at my M3- probably because of the popsicle color of it.

Even the service managers at the dealership I work at ask me why i don't grow up and get a "real car" they can all EAD.

like the guys at work say, an E90 318d will pick up chicks, an E30M3 will pick up old dudes!

Old black guys compliment my car more than anyone else. I get the occasional nod from other BMW people. Got a thumbs up from a guy in a Ferrari 355 once, that made me feel great. Usually when it's cleaned up and I'm getting gas someone will ask what year it is and give a compliment. I've never had a car that gets this much positive attention which makes all the hard work I did bringing it back to life worth it.

Around this neck of the woods, everyone always stares at me as I drive along occasionally wanting to race mostly I get the response "sick bimmer". Whenever I go to gas stations or drive thru's lots of people look some people ask, most think it's a 4-banger. Ill be sitting at a stop light and random people on the sidewalk will compliment it, people around here just love em!

I was helping a friend move yesterday and had mine parked in front of his house. At least 5 people driving past stopped, backed up and took pictures of it. That was only while I was there. Two people wanted to stop and talk, but since we were in the middle of unloading the moving van, I kept it short.

I think my wheels get the most compliments on my coupe. My cabrio gets some people talking too. Im not sure how many times I see someone randomly taking pix of both rides.

But by far, even when I had my MT2 cabrio at its roughest state, got more looks, compliments, and attention than my other 2. I didnt care, and I still kicked that one to the curb.
