    fuel tank leak

My Gfs jeep has a pin-hole in the fuel tank and is leaking. The tank itself is solid, but something tiny put a hole in it. I really dont want to drop the tank/replace it. Anyone know of any products to plug such a leak without spending a fortune or doing a ton of work?

    Thanks in a advance.

Drain the tank as much as possible. Jack up the rear so the remaining gas flows away from pinhole. Use some gritty sandpaper to clean and scuff up the pinhole area. Use jbweld sparingly (regular, not the kwik weld). Let it dry over night. Done.

Yeah, leave it jacked up. Make sure that the sanded area is completely clean and dry before applying the jbweld. The cleaner and drier it is, the better the adhesion you will get. This is just a pinhole right? Not a finger sized hole?

Yup, literally a pin hole. If it wasnt leaking it would be impossible to see.

in 12 hours it leaves a wet spot the size of a lemon on the garage floor. Tiny tiny leak/hole.

Permatex has an epoxy roll for gas tanks. I used some on a VW bug gas tank and it worked well.
