Shopping for an E30, need advice/opinion

Been searching the list for a good find and came across this, not my ideal swap but then again i dont know much about that engine.

What do you guys think about the price and mods? I am unsure whether this is a good deal or not given the labor involved. asking price is $4K. But its an hour or two away from me.

1991 BMW 318is .
-3.5l swap,engine came out of BMW 735i.
- 5 speed, with new clutch.
-dinan chip.
-lowerimg springs.
-body kit came out of 325 ix.
-255 walbro fuel pump.
-straight pipe ,3 inc ,with magnoflow muffler.
-hid's.
-16 Inc rims, 205/55/16. Decent tires .
-clean interior leather seats.
-new paint job.
-new battery .new seals , oil pan , valve cover and rear main seal car runs strong it's a head turner .

What is wrong with it?

$4k sounds like a great deal if you verify in person that 1) no/very little rust 2) no issues with the car running

The only "thing" about swaps I would be concerned about is troubleshooting issues...who do you take it to if you aren't familiar with the 3.5L engine and the swap itself?

If it has no major issues, it looks like a good deal. Find out it's true condition and maintenance record then pull the trigger if things look legitimate.

Also, it looks like a 'slick top' (no sunroof)

4k is a great price, but my first thought of a nicely done swap would cost close to that. just make sure you check everything, EVERYTHING!

How are these engines powerwise? and compared to original engine?
