Need opinion on 84 318 wiring

I am debating buying a 84 318 (I know pos lol) to do a m50 swap. My buddy says that the wiring in those cars is super brittle. I haven't had problems with my current 84 318 so I want to see what you guys think about that

If you already have a '84 318, wouldn't it be the same as your current one? It's a 28 year old car. Anything is possible.

I have an '84 318 that I swapped an m20 in. Didn't really have any problem with the engine harness wiring. It was pretty solid. however your car might not be the same. Just bite the bullet and make it happen, and like Slammin.e28guy said, "Anything is possible"

The engine harnesses are pretty brittle from the years, but if you are swapping an M50 in you'll be getting rid of L-jet anyways.
The chassis harness will be just fine because the plastic on the wiring hasn't been expanding and contracting with the engine bay heat for 27 years.

That's what I was thinking too. Who knows I guess it depends on how the car was kept
