Hey guys,
So I go out to my car yesterday after work and try to put the key in the ingition, but it doesn't want to slide in easily. I wiggle the steering wheel, and the wheel locks. Now, the key slides in OK. I try to start it, but the key won't turn to the "on" position. It will turn to the first click, but not any further. It feels like it is hitting something that won't let it turn any farther.
Also, the steering wheel lock used to only engage after I remove the key. Now, the wheel will lock even if the key is still in the ingition (in the "off" position).
I ended up just taking my boss's 318 home.
I'm not sure if the lock cylinder is bad, or if the thing that the lock cylinder attaches too is bad. Let me know if you might know what's up.
Also, I always wanted to have laser cut keys for my car. Does anybody know if the e36 or e46 lock cylinders will fit into the e30? That would be sick!
