This is the story of a lone e30, found by mistake and sold for mere profit. This is the story, of my love affair with another e30. I own a 325is, its great. E30, well its a cool car. My friend found this ad, a 200 dollar e30 runs and drives, on a VW forum. I couldnt resist. After difficulty, it was towed to my college. The car smelled awfully of rat poop and there remains. But it ran. A four door at that, red(or used to be). But I liked it, added character.
It was slowly becoming a realization that there was no place to put the car and I did not have the money to fix/keep it, especially with the other e30. It had to go. A kid comes and takes it, no questions asked, for a G at that. yeah, I made a great profit, but that money was meaningless. That wretched paint, four door, economy motor with 375+ miles(vdo doesnt work:) was the most fun I'd ever had in an e30. That old girl ripped burnouts and the lsd still worked perfectly. Due to the fact that I am to scared to damage the 325is, my total lack of fear in this car was what made it so fun, such a perfect beater car. I sold it about four hours ago, and miss it terribly. No matter what you say, it will always be my mini e30 affair. Just have to make sure the lovely wife at home never finds out, and I leave with some added wisdom. I will always think of that car, and call me crazy if I say now I love it. I can only hope I see it one day still kickin around with that same awful paint job, maybe with some new found glory.
This, is my one week e30 love affair.
