    BMWCCA local meet.

BMW Performance Center and our local BMWCCA Tarheel chapter had our local meet here. Pizza was involved so I just had to make it. :) This place has been doing good business and a great bunch of guys. Here are the results of the meed.

Dan, the owner, and his team are working on this e30 beast.

Thats a e36 subframe...with some modifications of course.

    Thats a e36 subframe...with some modifications again.

    14" rotors!

And this is what is going to be stuffed in it. Tranny is going to be a e39 6spd.

    Other rides...

This was my highlight. An 1957 Isetta.

Not only did I get a ride in it but the owner even let me drive it! What a hoot! (yes I typed "hoot"). Its a 4spd with the shifter on the left in an upside down shift pattern. A bit scary around turns and even maxing the the thing at 50 (in a straight line) it felt like you would expect....light, unresponsive, and a bit noisy. No sudden movements here. Anyway, I was able to take a small vid of me riding shotgun. No pix of me driving it as I was totally focused getting from point A to B.

We stopped at a gas station to full it up (3 gallons) and it brought soooo much attention. Im talking pictures, vidoes, questions...all in the amount of time to put gas in it. BTW, 80mpg.

Sad I missed this...stupid job. I saw your text that you drove an Isetta and spent the rest of the evening cursing you with jealousy.

    Nice pics!
