Yeah, that is true. Kinda like filling a gas can, you have to place it on the ground. I was actually sitting with my door open, feet outside on the ground. But I forgot about the whole static thing, good thing I did not get inside fully.Leave a comment:

Careful, you shouldn't get back in the car while filling up. It can build static and cause explosion. I heard of this from the Petroleum Institute. No joke. If you do, be sure to ground yourself after exiting before approaching the gas area.Originally posted by bwanacLeave a comment:

That was cool...
So I went to the bank and picked up some money.
Drover across the street to exxon to fill my car up because the light had just come on. It is cold out. I pull up to the pump and get out real quick. I decide to fill my car so I just use the little switch that lets me sit back in my car while it pumps away. I hear it click and go to see how much gas it took.
EXACTLY, to the penny, $20.00. :shock:
It was awesome, no bills to break or nothing. :D
