I think it turned out better for you in the end, man. That car is so clean. Congrats on snagging that one.

Now it's time to learn how different a RWD E30 is from an AWD one in NY/NH winters!

Seems like all the clean E30s on the market are headed to New England...

Haha its funny you mention the winter driving. My first e30 was an 88 325is and believe you me, I know just how bad these cars can be in the snow. I guess a bonus us that I never got to use my iX in the snow. EIther way, a definate upgrade in the end!

Turned out good, I'd say. Nice clean car with low miles.

Throw some snows on there and you'll be fine.

When I used to drive my cabby year round I had little trouble in the snow.

Nice dude - I searched high and low for a clean lach e30 - all I found was junkers(and that's in So cal) talk to your local BMWCCA guys, they will swear on carrying a few hundred extra pounds of stuff in the trunk in the winter - totally helps getting out of ice from a dead stop.

oh and aint the euro trim so nice....????

                  nice. m(s)50 coming?

i drive an eta in the winter. just put a system in the back, it adds weight and serves dual purposes, unlike those pesky sandbags

maybe a few years down the line I'll find a 4 door 325ix for winter.

mmm, in 6 years I am totally buying an e30 325ix for winter

Motor swaps are a long, long way down the road at this point. Im pretty stoked just to get a m42 to rev to my hearts content and see how I like the car first. I think Im going to use this car to finally begin autocrossing and Id like to learn to actually drive first than overpower myself. From all the praise these cars get, Im sure Ill be happy, especially for only 4200.

6+ winters in my e30, never once been stuck or been unable to drive when i so desired. And I dont sit inside when it snows like crazy... 48 days of skiing last year... 15 of which were in snow storms.

Congrats! on the e30 man, and that is one of the cleanest 318is ive seen. As for those who have trouble with rwd cars in snow I live by a ski center and have not gotten stuck once. There’s nothing snow tires and a lot of flooring can’t cure. :)
