Bumped into a wall, need recommendations

So my friend bumped his new Jeep Grand Cherokee into a wall outside our shop.

What do you guys recommend we use to get this cleaned off his rig?

No deep scratches, just paint stuck to it.

500 grit sand paper should do the trick.

Lacquer thinner. No, it will not damage the underlying paint.

Ok, great I have a McGuires clay bar kit at my pad right now.

Any brands you guys recommend for detailing compound?

3m rubbing compound and elbow grease....any deeper might require wet sanding + buffing.

I recommend a ballpeen hammer and wet sanding with a wire brush

But for srs, just any rubbing compound and a random orbital should get that right off.

                      BINGO.

Clay bar first. Then go to a rubbing compound. Then MAYBE sand it. Take it from a professional detailer who's fixed hundreds of these.

Don't bother getting anything more than what Pepboys sells. It's not worth it to fix one paint transfer. If clay doesn't take care of it, get a tub of turtle wax rubbing compound (should be a reddish-brick color, is not completely necessary), turtle wax something else in a green tub (forgot the name, should be white), and meguiar's Scratch-X (or turtle wax Scratch and Swirl remover).

                      It'll look probably 99% perfect.

I'm telling you, lacquer thinner and a rag will take that off in a matter of seconds. I learned it from a body shop guy when my wife scuffed her WRX bumper against a post in a parking garage. Worked like a charm.

Oh well, at least you'll get a workout.

                            Its Meguiars, not McGuiars....

Either way, start with a solvent like acetone. You shouldn't have to use any pressure.
