    Anyone happen to have a piout for a E30 ABS controler?

    Im doing a racelogic TC setup in my car and am having a hard time finding the wheel speed signal wires on the E30 (87 is) ABS controler box. The scematics I have found havent been useful enough to decipher the pin out. Any help is greatly appreciated

    You could use a DMM and test for continuity to the pins of ABS connectors under the hood and in the rear wheel well. (it's only 8 pins)

      Yes but it wires into the abs controller box and there are like 40 pins

        do{

        1. Meter lead gets connected to a pin at the wheel you want to find the pins for.
        2. Set your meter to Continuity and hit the button to turn on Beep for continuity.
        3. Extend long test lead to the ABS controller 40 pin connector.
        4. Test pins until the DMM beeps.
        5. Write down pin # / Wheel data
        6. Move to next pin at the wheel.
        7. Rinse, repeat x6
        }

        I'll do it for you when I get home but you could be done in about 10 min. ;)

                So it seems like its pins 6-11-9-26, does that seem right? anyone really good at reading these confirm?

                  I would say that looks correct.

                      You'll want all 8 pins paired up by wheel. Without the pair you won't have a complete circuit and therefore no wheel speed. If the diagram posted is correct for your car then they would be as below.

                      LF-4,6
                      RF-21,11
                      LR-8,9
                      RR-24,26

                      I would verify them with a multimeter before using them for traction control, but then again I'm kinda picky.

                      Well after glancing over racelogic's install it appears that you only need to intercept one side of the signal for each sensor since they leave the factory ABS intact. Which side should not matter, but I would take the same side of the signal from each sensor for simplicity.

                        Page 11-13 of the install info make the wheel speed install pretty clear, they even give you a handy chart to write the results of your test with a multimeter. :D

                        "In the second example sensor B, both wires carry signals to the ABS, therefore the traction control can be connected to either wire."

                        So for future reference you only need to tap a single wire from each pair.

                          Tapped the wires, install is complete just need to get the laptop hooked up to start tuning it now. Bimmertech I appreciate your help and I understand testing the pins but since finding the pinout was just easier for me, cheers!
