Im planning on rebuilding a motor to swap over the summer but Im not 100% sure on which option I want to go with. I would like to see between 200-250 NA horsepower but I really dont have the cash flow for a m50 swap or somthing along those lines. that, and I would kinda like to keep it period correct for the time being. Is it more cost effective to build a M20 stroker or a "warmed over" M30. What do you guys think?
Which swap is right for me??

M30 man. I currently have a euro M30B35 and Getrag 265 for sale. It would be a perfect swap for an E30. Semi local too. Check out my thread in the E28 section, its titled 'Euro 635csi Part Out'Comment

Luckily, no smog up in my neck of the woods (for now). What kind of cost am I looking at? This is gonna be a slow build but I dont wanna spend a shit ton of cash before I even get it installed. Also, what are the starting HP numbers for the different M30's?sigpic

m30 is the way to go man, relatively cheap over 24 valve swaps. You can get everything at the junk yard, then some custom welding ....and you're done.1988 E30 M3
