I have been searching and have found that there is not that much information on half shafts. First off, mine are a b**** to come off and are not budging. Secondly, I dont want to spend on new ones and want to rebuild my own. Is there a write up on rebuilding them once buying a kit?

Are you planning on a complete rebuild or just a good cleaning, re-grease, and new boots? All CV axles are pretty much designed the same so any general video or diy will work.
P.S. Autozone has the for like 75 bucks each plus your old core for remanufactured ones.... That or you can take it to local shops and theyll usually redo them for about 50-75 also. Id prefer remanufactured ones because its less likely that corners will be cut to save money.

What I did when I r3ved my rear end; if your on a budget and you absolutely need the parts, best suggestion honestly
Either that or go with what e46 said and refurbish yours. I plan on doing this as soon as I have enough mine for a complete suspension overhaul cause I'm getting weird creaks from my rear end on take-off

You're from cali so the axle SHOULD slide right out, try using a punch with a large hammer to break them free.
About the rebuild, I believe there is a guy on here that offers them(so it should not be hard). So just take the boots off and see what is bad and order the parts from blunttech.com

Yup Bone yard. Pull some out and check for looseness. If they feel pretty tight then you should be able to clean, re grease + boots and have shafts that will last a long time. You can also mix and match CV's from diff shafts. If you get a shaft that has one bad side then you can use a CV from another to make one good one. Just did this and I have two good ones in the car and a spare ready to go.
Makes a huge different if you have "sloppy shafts" LOLComment
