Socal, Seattle, NYC, Atlanta, and the Baltimore-DC area. Seems like they have the highest concentrations from meets and such.
You might say of corse they do, it's obviously just because of the higher population in those areas, but I don't think that's true. Lots of other metropolitan areas don't have as big of an e30 scene like Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Detroit...Zinno '89 <24v swap in progress>

Im from socal and Im sure theres a lot more bmws in norcal.
Its just LA is so large. Socal is definitely were lexus and acura make their money. Theres nowhere to drive in LA its all flat and youre stuck in traffic for an hour leaving and returning. It is the capitol of the toyota camry.
san jose yuppies have tons of bmws but per capita is has to be seattle.
Its both a rich urban area and near mountain skiing roads.
whereas a serious mountain area like denver they have SUVs.

Uh oh I just noticed the 5 cities where hipsters are most prevalent! SoCal, Seattle, NYC, Atlanta, and Baltimore! Fuck me....
I kid...
It is strange though I never see e30's in slc, and when I do I'm like a little school girl who just saw the Beatles or some shit like that. Lol it's an ordeal.

I feel like Socal has more very rich people, but most are sort of slightly upper average. Combine that with no rust, you get more e30's. Around the bay, I think I see more e46's and other newer BMWs because by a median, people (in my opinion) appear to have more money. The first car I ever rode in was an e30
