    E30 hives

There are parts of the country with higher concentrations of our cars. Why?

    #2
Because they were expensive cars in their day so richer people bought them...

There are parts of the country with higher concentration of every enthusiast car. The same places there are tons of E30's there are also tons of S30's and I'm sure anyone who follows other enthusiast cars sees the same trends.
        Different strokes for different folks.

Socal, Seattle, NYC, Atlanta, and the Baltimore-DC area. Seems like they have the highest concentrations from meets and such.
You might say of corse they do, it's obviously just because of the higher population in those areas, but I don't think that's true. Lots of other metropolitan areas don't have as big of an e30 scene like Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Detroit...

Also keep in mind they are old enough that rust has had their tole on those from the north.

I have to agree with you. I have noticed a trend when looking at locations of people on this forum and the major concentrations of e30s are in those 5 areas. I never noticed how many people with e30s lived in the Atlanta area until looking around on this board. The only problem is most of them live inside the perimeter highway so I dont see them to often cruising around.

Im from socal and Im sure theres a lot more bmws in norcal.

Its just LA is so large. Socal is definitely were lexus and acura make their money. Theres nowhere to drive in LA its all flat and youre stuck in traffic for an hour leaving and returning. It is the capitol of the toyota camry.

san jose yuppies have tons of bmws but per capita is has to be seattle.

Its both a rich urban area and near mountain skiing roads.

whereas a serious mountain area like denver they have SUVs.

True I'm in Dallas and I hardly see any e30s and when I do see some once in a while they're trashed

Uh oh I just noticed the 5 cities where hipsters are most prevalent! SoCal, Seattle, NYC, Atlanta, and Baltimore! Fuck me....

                      I kid...

It is strange though I never see e30's in slc, and when I do I'm like a little school girl who just saw the Beatles or some shit like that. Lol it's an ordeal.

I feel like Socal has more very rich people, but most are sort of slightly upper average. Combine that with no rust, you get more e30's. Around the bay, I think I see more e46's and other newer BMWs because by a median, people (in my opinion) appear to have more money.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

i saw 9 e30s today in NorCal. but what is weird is that our meets are terrible up here. like there are so many e30s that if i dont see another one in my 4 mile commute i'm a tad shocked.
