Besides the obvious, what are the differences between an E34 M5 and a regular E34? Like the E30 M3 has the flares, extended trunk/roof, 5 lug, and different suspension design, and all those things make an exact conversion difficult, does the E34 M5 have anything like that?

As far as body wise, I think they're like the e36 M3. They got bolt-ons, but nothing like the e30 M3 with the flares, etc.

As far a suspension, I'd assume it was upgraded components. I think they just used the normal e34 body, and put better stuff under it, again, kinda like the e36 M3.

I've seen this car around. Not up close, but I saw it once or twice around town. that's the best of both worlds in an E34, imo.

The E34 M5 and standard E34s share the same body other than bumpers and, for '93 models, mirrors. Different drivetrain of course. The E34 M5s came with SLS, lower and stiffer springs, adjustable rear toe, thicker sway bars, etc.

Kind of like the E36 M3... only it was hand built and better in every way imaginable :)

While everything underneath bolts up BMW did all kinds of stupid crazy stuff that made the M5's different than regular E34's

Adjustable rear subframe, clutch line diameter was different, large case diff, different driveshaft, larger halfshafts. All kinds of silly stuff
