grand nationals are definitely deserving of that list. The prices they fetch are an indicator of that cult status. The viper is really the only car on that list that I would not have said has a cult following

    Stink beat me to it.

"The 510 was a blast to drive, thanks in part to its double-overhead-cam, four-cylinder engine.

    News to me.

I wouldn't have put in the Viper or the Grand Nat. Not that they aren't cool just not what I would call "cult" cars. But maybe?

    The Volvo? Definitely!

This is going to turn into a Stamar-saying-stupid-shit thread, isn't it?

Given everything else I have seen you post, it seemed fairly consistent with utter lack of knowledge on anything car related.

Most of these I can understand, not so sure about the Viper though. I gues the thing to realize is there really isn't any good way to quantify what a 'cult following' means, or which is bigger/better/crazier than another.

People questioning the Volvo status need to go to turbobricks and browse around. Those people are devoted. Most of those were good, didn't like the Viper.

i think cult means small but rabid.

I think the fiero has that.
I think the GTI has that, they wear t shirts and drive around together. They might all live together on a commune and worship satan.

I dont think dodge vipers have that at all. I dont think they do anything but sit.

I do not think there is such a thing as a volvo car club anywhere in the world including sweden.

    STi/WRX has more of a following than a e30.

@ the fact of no e30...I think it is GREAT! I would rather is be not that cool so they are easy to find.

Quad 4 was an Oldsmobile engine to start. A decent engine that GM could have exploited well. It should have been the Fiero engine in the 2M6 got the lazy push rod engine.
