So a few days ago i purchased my first e30. a zinnobrot red 1986 325e. i got her for a 1000 bucks off a very nice gentleman (with a gun) in running driving condition. has a few minor rust spots here and there but other wise the car is in nice condition. we drove it about a hour and a half home with out it blowing up so that is also good.it came with new tires new muffler new timing belt new tune up and a (very ghetto) cool air intake. the only things that arent so good is the blinkers dont work, the power windows dont role down, and there is a very slow oil leak somewhere. the guy i bought it off of said the windows and the blinkers is just a fuse but im not completely sure so any ideas would help.

Definitely check your fuses. If the fuses are fine, check the relay by taking it out and shaking it; if you can here stuff bounce around, replace it. If those are accounted for, then make sure your emergency blinker light button is connected and is fully functional. The blinkers are wired through the flasher button, so if that's bad or not connected, you won't get flashes.
If your window fuse is good aswell, the window switches are prone to gunk up over time and go bad, usually leading to a bad connection when you push them down. Try replacing those if your fuse is good and the problem persists. The window motors on are cars are known to last forever, so those shouldn't be the issue, but if all else fails, those could be your culprits
These are all parts you can swoope or pocket at the junkyard, so they aren't a huge problem

yes i checked the fuses and they all seem to be fine, and i ordered a new relay for the blinkers, that will be in tomorrow. and for the rust.... its not thatt bad, mostly surface, except near the front left fender, i can see daylight.. but that will be fixed.
and thanks for all the help guys, i will need more in the future ;)M30 is God's motor.....but Jesus drives an M60'd car -slammin.e28

Looks like an IS lip to me, I believe the ES lip doesn't have the two inside bottom holes which provide air to the oil cooler. Pics of engine?sigpic

Also interior, comfort or sport seats? Looks like a nice find if the rust is manageable.sigpic
