Somebody broke into my E30!

Some bum broke into my car last night, r3vd my ballin' new CD player that was something like 100 bucks and took a bunch of car wash tokens and change. The driver's door was locked but apparently the passenger side wasn't. I'm not sure how that happened. Maybe the old vacuum locks didn't pull it all the way down? Anyway it sucked. Whoever did it used a wire cutter too, didn't just pull it out, so I'd guess it wasn't just some drunk kid walking home from the bar. I don't have any serial numbers or anything so I'm not even gonna bother calling the cops. Bummer.

Wow man sorry to hear it, yeah my passenger door actuator is acting up whenever I arm my e30 sometimes it won't go all the way down, im surprised the whole time I didn't noticed no one has broke in but I don't wanna jinx myself, I fixed it now but I got myself into the habit of making sure it locks properly, well be on the look out who knows they might sell it in CL or eBay, good luck to you hopefully you'll find out who it is, give em a good beating

That really sucks dude, sorry to hear. You're not too far away from me, I did my undergrad at USC. I had a landrover that was broken into, bastards got caught though and I ended up getting all my stuff back. On a brighter note, today is officially my bday. Hope that sorry bastard gets caught, I hate thieves.

I think he meant actuators I don't think e30s came with a vacuum lock

One of the reasons I love my factory headunit! plus I leave my car unlocked all the time. Anything that I ever need to lock up goes in the trunk. The way I figure is no one wants the factory headunit and I'd rather them open the door and look around to see there is nothing there than break something to see there is nothing there lol.

Where do you live and what time of day are you away from your e30..? Do you mind taking your kick panel off tonight and separating the starter wires..?

This is why I love the stock radio.. No one wants a cassette player.
That's odd though.. E30s are generally on the lower edge of the crime table.. Still sorry to hear that happened. So grateful my locks work. Best of luck on getting this taken care of

You may think they're at the the bottom of the food chain but they're starting to get popular as far as I know in society and people wants one I maybe wrong but who knows

I only like the period correct aftermarket ones, but even those just dont quite match the look of the interior as well as the OEM ones. My uncle was bagging on my old car cause it had a stock radio and said the stock radio made my interior look like crap and I should buy a "nice flashy" aftermarket one...
