Honestly...with the kinds of questions you're asking, I'd stop until someone helps or you pay someone else to pick up at this point.

You can't just reinstall the head. You need to mill it and get all the old gasket off. You need to check the head bolts. You need to clean the block, and make sure you have a suitable surface area for the head gasket.

I have a new head
I have a few cans of brake cleaner
I have new gaskets, and head bolts.

It's not that i'm that mentally retarded with this, it's just my first time with this BMW which is rusted to hell and back with every component wanting to be a bitch while trying to get removed.


I'm good now though. I got the head off, getting the new head pressure tested and clearences checked as we speak. Should be back together later tonight.
