Yeah I know what you mean. I have a 325es, with the right gearing etas can be fun although I have an M50 on an engine stand in my garage. Ive driven my brothers 318i four door which is very rev happy in comparison and my friends M30 swapped four door which has great torque and still revs more freely than the eta. You can even feel the weight difference. It is surprising how different these cars can drive.

i've only ever driven tired or beat-to-shit e30's and they still put a smile on my face.

anyone local to pittsburgh want to give me a ride in a well sorted s5x swapped car? i want to see what it's like.

When I finally fixed my e30 recently and got her running, I was driving an e90 and a quest minivan to get around. Although the e90 was tons faster and the van also quicker. I still got that feeling you described, even with my blown shocks, rubber band tires, crumbling CABs, etc. It was just a fun experience overall.

oh yea its' an eta also LOL
