    The Mythical Alpina 2.8

The BMW E30 323i based Alpina B6 2.8/1 is one of those Alpina’s that are neither mentioned nor considered when looking for a special Alpina. Just as the Alpina B10 3.5 E34, E28 B9, E39 B10 3.…

Anyone have an idea where you could find and buy such a beautiful beast? I've always loved the Alpina/AC Schnitzer Models and was wondering if anyone has actually seen one here in America.

Either way does anyone know where you can get a valance, side skirts, and badges/interior pieces for such a vehicle? even if they are reproduction id like a Alpina Like Car some day.

    They are very rare.
If you're dead set on having one then get a script to search ebay, craigslist, bmwcca, and the popular forums every day and one will eventually come up.
Or find someone that has one and make them an offer they can't refuse.
I think i've seen one on here before, do a search.
    And what about Hartge?

Hartge is cool but was never my thing. I probably can't afford an alpina currently. But I wouldnt mind finding a few parts such as wheels steering wheel, and shift knob. To add some style to my stock E30 haha.

Yeah I wouldn't know anything about tracking down every real and rare alpina part. OP it is a long long dark and very expensive trail, if you
Have the stomach for such then by all means go ahead but be forewarned.

If you want Alpina I suggest you buy replica parts.

why would you want one unless your a collector? same goes for m3s at this point.

but to answer your question, yes, my old boss had one that he used to DD in TX

Why do you need to be a collector? It's still something that will be worth at least what you paid if you go to sell it. Expensive yes, but it performs better than a normal e30, has that rare unique factor, and you aren't really spending more money in the long run unless you wreck it or totally neglect it.

Next door ... it's a Ron Perry/Vintage MSG build. Would LOVE to take this thing out for a drive.

EDIT: Also look for the South African E30 335i (think factory produced M30 E30), also a bit on the rare side.
