Power Window Weirdness...please help!

Alright so here it is....Grumpy's windows up and quit on me.

For reference it is a 4door 325 (1987). The switches, and fuse are good.

Here's where it gets strange. I think I've got the problem narrowed to the circuit breaker switch. Funny thing is..when I physically PULL the switch OUT of the dashboard....all the windows work fine (ie the switch dangling by the two wires).

Once I put it BACK INTO the dash...no windows...nada..zilch..nothing.

Window motors are good....no binding going up and down...just the weird circuit breaker switch...does this spell REPLACEMENT? Or am I missing something else.

could be loose connections, or broken wires. check the plug on the back of the switch is plugged in snug.

if they are getting stuck while up... try giving the door a good punch where the window crank blank is/would have been while holding the down button...
