School me (e30 used parts value's)

Ive owned these cars for over 5 years now. Im now starting a new e30 project, so im noticing this more than ever.
Has the value/obtainability of e30 parts really gone up that much in the last two years, or-

(ex.) An very nicely sorted e30M3 sells for 25k. One week later another one needing alot of tlc is listed for 25k.. )
A really nice set of BBS sells for 1.5k, a week later someones broken down pile of rebuild is listed for 1.5k. )

The more the market gains enthusiast, the more competition and demand there is for the "swag" parts. The used parts that are in high supply and are easily obtainable (window switches, shift knobs, leather boots/handles, etc) relatively stay the same as supply does not fluctuate. Harder to get items and rarer pieces (especially NLA listed stuff) will rise in price as vendors Williams advantage of its demand and jack up their prices, knowing they have control of the supply since the item they're selling is so rare/desired.

Remember though, demand does not directly affect supply and vice versa. The market however is controlled the the supply and the demand. Supply and demand directly affect the open market.

EG. no one is gonna pay $100 for a set of e36 window switches because there are plenty of other vendors selling the exact same item for $25. However, in the market where supply is not that much and demand is high, someone is willing to pay $25k for an e30 that is beat up, versus buying a clean one, because 2 years ago a clean one was $25k and a clean one today is now $30k because of time-rarity and condition. Same with BBS RSes. Very sought after, not much supply. Vendors will take advantage of the buyer's willingness to buy their product. That's just how it works in the free market.

It's kinda like investing in Gold, except for the fact e30s cater to a much more niche market
