Earlier this month i bought a set of headlights from a member of the r3v community. I am unsure if i should use his username or not but i will if anyone asks. Regardless i bought some headlights with built in angel eyes (no comments on the angel eyes i know people dont like them) and he told me all i would need to do is buy some connectors to fit them into my car.
Heres the issue though, I received the headlights, very well packaged and after getting $10 back because shipping didnt cost as much as he thought. I open them to see nice looking headlights but just a jumble of wires. These things were held together with electrical tape and some wires were just twisted together underneath that. After about 5 hours of re-wiring (and using diodes on both the wires from my car) they were wired in. We then found out that half the angel eyes were burnt out, not disclosed by this member. Another issue would be that 2 of the aiming pegs were stripped, not very easy to aim them. Now the only thing that was disclosed by this member was that i would need to buy connectors. nothing else.
My main question here is should i get my money back for this? I just sent a claim to him on paypal for $50 back, when the headlights in total cost me $115.
If anyone wants more detail im sure i will be able to give them.
