What would you pay for this car? 91 318i, cloth interior...

For sale is 1991 BMW 318i 4 door, 5 speed,4 cylinder, 180k miles, very clean, a lot of maintenance has been done, new clutch, drive belts, breaks, water pump, radiator, fuel pump, battery, good tires, clean title, third owner. It's dark grey, cloth interior. Car kept very good for it's age. Might need front shocks. Asking $3350

She hasn't put up pictures yet but I called her and the car sounds like it's in real good shape. No rust, body is nice and clean. Even the AC works and blows cold! I'm going to look at it tomorrow. Title is clear. She's owned the car for the past 10 years.

    I've been wanting a 4 door 5spd 318i for a long time.

    $3350 sound high?

Depends 100% on the paint/body/interior condition at this point. It seems pretty decently mechanically.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

With the exception of the cloth interior and the "clean" body (assuming we have similar definitions of clean) it sounds like you described my car I just bought a few weeks ago. I paid $2600 for it.

I've experienced first-hand how hard 4 door, 5-speed M42-powered cars are to find, so I guess it depends on how long you've been looking. It took me about 6 months to find mine, and I jumped on it. If the seller had been able to fix some of the little things (power locks, rear windows, etc) it would have easily been a $3500 car.

Until you see it with your own eyes and see what was done and needs to be done, no point in guessing. For 3500 it better be mint.
