I think all e21's had the m10 ( except 323's) all chain driven, same motor from the 2002 I think.

But the e21's were fuel injected.

Guy said there was only one other 320 on island that was running, knew BMWs a bit but talked it way up. Had a "rare German Getrag race transmission" and reverse was up by first. "something my 87 doesn't have" throttle cable held together with Jb weld. Radiator held together with Jb weld. Lots of bondo. Missing rear passenger window,.interior shot. But it did have decent E30 recaros. bottom of door flaring out from Rust. Hole in trunk. Good kumho tires. Decent looking wheels. Holes in top from previous surf rack install.

      Best $1550 ever spent. Lolno.

Someone has a Vanagon for that price, maybe I will just get that and live in it.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

Why is it I picture every car in Hawaii as looking like cars I see in the news in the Middle east?

e21's were carbed from 77-81 IIRC 82-83 was a mechanical cis style injection.

doesn't look to retched to check out.

but coming from an e21 owner, be prepaired for a heap of issues and a slow bmw.
these things are dead slow but pretty fun to corner in, no power steering, the seats are all usually clapped out and sport seats are major grip.
the 5 speed tranny is worth a good chunk of change to the 2002 community, they normally over heat and ride really hot, chances are 9 time out of 10 they don't come with a fan shroud.

after proper maintenance (water pump thermostat and fan shroud) the hot motor issue is not as bad, but i still see mine over the half way mark a few times a month.
rubber is shot for sure, my drive line just took a crap..... i can't imagine the conditions for the rubber parts in the driveline being much better in hawaii...

drum breaks in the back, the trunks ALWAYS leak and i have yet to find a source on new rubber parts back there. any and all rare parts are usually major grip..... which is both sucky and rewarding :P
that spoiler on there is probably worth some dough, i just found a spoiler at the yard, bought it for $20 selling it for $160.... shipping out this afternoon!

                lololololol rare transmission my arse.....
all the 5 speed trannys have the normal pattern same as an e30, but the rare one would be the dogleg, first being in place of second.
