After deep freeze, car wont start....help

As the title says, the car went through a -20+ night (-35+ with wind chill), and everything froze. Coolant was basically a real thick slush (not completely frozen, but real close), washer fluid was a brick, PS fluid was real thick, all the good stuff. It was a balmy 18 today, and everything thawed, and the car turns over, and acts like it wants to catch, but still no luck. Any ideas?

word. when it gets that cold you can start to fuck up the viscosity of the oil. let it go back to semi-warm, try an oil change, and then give it a whirl

I bet you dollars to donuts your fuel lines froze.

I have straight antifreeze in my car now for the rest of winter while it sits. Stupid NH winters!

My car started right up yesterday afternoon. After the frikkin' cold weather.

I agree on the frozen fuel lines. Nothing else would really prevent it from starting.

Yeah mine started the other night after sitting at westover for 3 nights a days with no use. It was -12 the night I got home from New Orleans. It was 65 degrees when we left there.

Got the car started, but I have thrown a CEL, gonna be tracking that down later today. Made it all the way down from VT with the damn thing on.

why the hell do you have straight antifreeze? that is good for about -10 to -15 and if you do the 60-40 mix like you are suposed to it will be good for -40 or so.

grapedrink....you work for Poudre Motorsports out near Fort Collins, CO? This is Will, I was out there in the fall, I bought my winter tires from you guys. Glad to see you made it over here. In case you forgot, this is my ride.

I had the same problem a ew weeks ago, I used my dad's old oil pan heater from when he had a diesel VW Rabbit. I just heated the oil pan for a while and evenyually got the car to start.

Its not straight anti-freeze. ;) I was trying to illustrate a point. I wasn't serious.
